I'm looking for a frozen yogurt/softserve maker that is under $100 and whips a lot of air into the mix?

On really professional machines they have an overrun that tells how much air will be mixed in,but since the cheaper ones don't tell that information I'm looking for someone who knows or has one that works well and whips the mixture to be very light and airy.( Also where is the best and cheapest place to get the machine?)

Answer
I bought the Cuisinart model and found it to make excellent ice cream and easy clean up too. However, I found the bowl size a bit too small for my recipes, so I ended up going back & buying the "attachment" bowl for my Kitchenaid mixer. It works very well, easy clean up too... and is large enough for my favorite recipes. Both are well under the $100...but you have to have the mixer for the Kitchenaid thing. The mixer is extra great, because you can speed it up for more air.

Special note: The ingredients are really the key to the best ice cream! The more butter fat, the richer the end product. So, using milk or half & half will be less rich/dense than using whipping cream, etc.

Best prices WITH the 20% off coupon that come in the newspaper & mail all the time, is either Bed, Bath & Beyond, or Linen's & Things. You can use the coupons at either store, as they take "competitor" coupons.
