My aunt bought this gadget for her backyard. I'm just wondering if it actually attracts mosquitoes to it, and will therefore keep them away from any people who might be sitting in auntie's yard. My own opinion is that the mosquitoes would go to people if they could reach them first, not bypass them to reach the trap. Is there anyone who has used this and can provide some feedback?

Some tips for getting the best out of your trap:
1. Place the trap between the mosquito source and areas of human activity.
2. Place the trap as far away from people and as close to the mosquito source as possible.
3. Place the trap upwind of the mosquito source but only if you can comply with 1.
4. Place the trap in a predominantly shaded area.
5. Place the trap in a location protected from rain and strong wind.
6. If severe weather conditions are predicted then store the trap out of the weather.
It should do an OK job but it is not a magic answer to your mosquito control problems. It should be used in conjunction with other basic home mosquito control techniques.
