how can i get rid of scratches on my psp case screen (can't play due to so many scratches)?

Reaper~of~

i have heard that you can use sandpaper or something but doesn't that make more scratches, and if it doesn't tell me what to do please.

Answer
There is a polishing compound called "ice cream" which is specifically made for removing scratches from psp, ipod, cell phone, and many other acrylic screen covers.

It is made by a company called "Rad Tech" - their website where you can order "ice cream" can be found here: http://www.radtech.us/products/IceCreme.aspx

Be prepared to rub vigorously for a good 20-40 minutes or longer! Alternatively you can use an electric buffing tool such as a "Drexel" which will take the scratches out in about a minute.

"Ice Cream" is a little expensive--($20.95--don't bother with the "M" version as it's for metal), but does work well. Alternatively, I've heard people claim good results from using a metal compound polisher called "Brasso" which you can pick up at your local grocery store for under $5. Don't know if I'd trust it, but if it doesn't work, then you could switch to "ice cream".

What does 100g of ice cream look like?

Sarah

I just ate a lot of vanilla ice cream with 190 calories per 100g. I want to know what 100g looks like. Is there a link? Or could you compare it to something for me? Eg. a tennis ball? Golf ball? iphone charger? etc...

Answer
HEAVEN.

but seriously you already ate the ice cream....no point in figuring out how many calories you consumed now...lol but I guess a weird backwards way would be t check how many servings are in the ice cream and then see what fraction of the ice cream would be that amount of calories (e.g. 190 calories/100g and theres three servings..that means if you ate about 1/3 of the ice cream then you had consumed around 100g) lol idk this is probably the laziest roundabout way to do it haha

What is the best way to keep a container of ice cream fresh in the freezer?

Q.

Answer
I just did a tour of the Blue Bell ice cream factory in Brenham, Texas -- they said to cover the ice cream with plastic wrap before replacing the lid and it will give a nice tight seal. I think it would also help to press the wrap down to the level of the ice cream to push the air away from the surface of the ice cream to prevent freezer burn.

Zip up hoodie?

Manuel M

Could someone tell me the proper name for the hoodies with all the elaborate designs that zip all the way up the hood. Or a website to get them from, or anything. The internet sucks and its pissing me off.

Answer
Its not just one company, although A Bathing Ape (aka BAPE) and Billionaire Boys Club are the 2 most common.

Billionaire Boys Club/ Ice Cream:
bbcicecream.com

A Bathing Ape:
bape.com (u have to actually download the site, and they dont sell stuff online)

3peat.jp (one of the few sites that sell legit BAPE)

the store the above person listed sells fake shit btw, just like 98% of the BAPE online. This is becuz the company doesn't outsource their product to retailers. If u care if its genuine or not.

Does anybody know where can I buy a device that can automatically trap mosquitos in the room ?

Gabriel

I hate mosquitos !!!

Unfortunately, my room contains a lot of black-colored belongings.

Where do I buy devices that can trap those mosquitos despite the many black things that I have ?

What is the name of the the device ?

NB: Reference to any websites is very much appreciated. Thanks.

Answer

http://www.mosquito.org/mosquito-information/traps.aspx

Mosquito Traps ("mosquito machines", "insect catchers ")
These devices use propane, electricity or both to generate heat and carbon dioxide - the same elements which attract mosquitos to humans. Most also attract mosquitoes with Octenol or Lurex - scents which are odorless to humans but irresistable to the insects. Mosquitos are drawn into the traps and killed. Insect traps which use propane should never be used in an enclosed space. They can be very effective at protecting large areas of up to an acre or more.

The first generation of these machines were large and unsightly, newer mosquito traps are much nicer looking and technology that was problematic (notably the ignition systems) has been greatly improved. Smaller, modestly-priced units using some of the same technologies are available for small areas like patios.

For information and reviews of specific products, see our mosquito traps comparison chart.

The best way to use mosquito traps
A lot of the negative feedback you'll see for mosquito traps is because new owners didn't use them properly!

Mosquito traps don't REPEL mosquitos, these machines ATTRACT the mosquitos and then kill them. It also takes a while for them to lure and kill a large local population. Buying a mosquito catcher in the afternoon and putting the unit in the middle of your big neighborhood barbeque that same night is a sure recipe for turning your party into an itchy, buggy disaster!

A mosquito machine should be placed a good distance from where people are congregating (ideally, 35' or more), preferably upwind. Place mosquito traps on the perimeters of your yard, not in the middle of your activity area, and set them to run 24/7 or at least daily during peak insect activity times (dawn and dusk) at first. After several days they will have begun to kill off the existing colonies and you'll be well on your way to a mosquito-free yard!

Bug "Zappers"
These are the electrified devices which emit ultraviolet light to attract and "zap" bugs. However besides killing mosquitoes, they also kill many other insects, including benign ones. And unfortunately, they do little to reduce the mosquito population because mosquitos aren't particularly interested inultraviolet light! Estimates say that usually less than 3% of the insects killed by "zappers" are mosquitos. Battery-powered, handheld bug zappers are also available online. We don't recommend these for mosquito control.

Ultrasonic Devices
These are small electric or battery-operated devices that emit ultrasonic sounds. They claim to repel mosquitos (and mice, rats, hornets, spiders, even fleas). In our experience, they are useless (except possibly against mice), and in some devices the noise is in a range that can still be heard by humans and house pets - those can be rather annoying.

Citronella, Mosquito Coils, scent based insect inhibitors
One of the oldest mosquito repelling standbys, citronella candles and mosquito coils are fairly effective in their immediate area. They act by producing a scent which repels the mosquitos. Anything with a flame can be a fire hazard - take proper precautions!

Geraniol is another natural, essential oil which repels mosquitos much in the same way as Citronella. Several companies have also developed proprietary scent products.

Mosquito "Dunks"
Mosquito dunks are round tablets which dissolve in water and contain bacteria harmful to mosquito larvae. Used in ponds, fountains and bird baths, they are very effective and non-toxic to birds, ornamental fish and plants (follow the label guidelines). You should keep pets away from the treated water.

Yard treatments and sprays
A variety of yard sprays and treatments are available, both organic/natural and chemically-based. Effectiveness varies. For safety reasons, read the label before using and follow all cautions and recommendations.

What types of vending machines are there?

tmac5445

Im 16 years old and have a small vending machine route in town with gumball and candy machines but now i want to expand, any ideas?

What type of vending machines or systems similar to that exist other than:
gumballs, candy, soda, ice cream, pay phones, dvd rental, toys

That covers all i can think of, thanks for your ideas on expanding my business!

Answer
Hi I used to run a vending route with gumballs. We later purchased one with candy bars. I would recommending expanding the gumballs. You are paying 1 to 2 cents per gumball and getting 23 cents. I found the candy machines took more time, we had to purchase biweekly the items and restock the machines-biweekly. Our machines held about 12 items per row and 8 rows. We purchased a existing route. The people on the route would always try to request what they wanted in their machine. That got annoying after while. One place broke our machine and stole candy bars. Another place had mice and they got into the machine-somehow- and ate candy. So with the gumballs, your profit margin is higher, less work and you do not have to fill them as often. I would try looking on ebay for used machines and continue adding to your existing business. I also looked into other machines-crane machines, dvd etc. Most of the time you have to purchase the machines -thousands of dollars, and you have to worry about servicing them if they break. Also a lot of places the owner will put in their own machine. Also big companies-like sugar loaf (they have the machines in walmart) will contract local people to service them.

When we purchased our existing gumball route the owner had hooked up with a local non-profit. So he would go into businesses and tell them 10% of profit would go to the non-profit. He had stickers on the machines too. So people feel 'good' about buying gumballs. You may want to hook up with a local nonprofit. A lot of times they have members and meetings and they are business owners. It's a great way to get your foot in the door to businesses.

Want to make my mom something to eat on bday?

Ncis fan

tmmw i my moms bday and i wanted to cook her something to eat im only 13 so nothing to big and more likely something that is easy and even better if dont have to use oven any recipes? maybe a ice cream?

Answer
I would suggest sandwiches and ice cream with fruit or something simple like that. Set the table and put a vase of flowers on the table or a bday card etc. Just have your Mom relax and enjoy some time together talking. The memory will be the best gift.

If you are going to get groceries, you may want to get some kind of festive bread. This can be a loaf bread or something inexpenisve. Make a sub sandwich and then cut on the slant.

Vanilla ice cream with strawberries or other fruit cut on top will look nice and taste really good. Easy. But a classic.

Clean up after as well (-: That always makes a Mom feel good.

Have fun with your Mom!

ice cream?

shopaholic

do you know any simple ice cream recipies that you can do without an ice cream maker?

Answer
Here's a simple ice cream recipe for ice cream that you can make without an ice cream maker.

I've made it before and my family loves it. If your in the mood for something more exciting than vanilla - just add in some mixings at the very end.

The first thing you have to do is mix up your base.

Here’s the recipe for vanilla ice cream!

1 cup milk
1/2 cup granulated sugar
2 cups heavy whipping cream
1 1/2 - 2 tsp vanilla extract

After you’ve mixed the ingredients together, put this mixture in the fridge for 1 hour then transfer to the freezer for 30 min.

Beat with an electric mixer. Freeze for 40 min then beat again. Continue freezing for 40 min and then beating - do this cycle 3 times. Then you can allow it to harden up by itself.
If you don't have an ice cream maker - it's important to beat it to allow air into the ice cream mixture to make it soft. The beating also prevents ice crystals from forming!

You can spice up this recipe by adding fun mix-ins like crumbled Oreos for Cookies and Cream or Chocolate Chips and Cookie Dough Balls for Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Ice Cream.

This is the quick version of ice cream making without an ice cream maker! If you want a more detailed description or a different recipe - you can check out

http://www.serving-ice-cream.com/ice-cream-maker-2.html

You should be able to find all the help you need!

I hope you enjoy your ice cream!
Oh it makes about 1.5 quarts - 10 servings!

when scooping ice cream, how do you make a perfect ball?

Aedah

Answer
Let you ice cream sit for maybe 5 minutes (barely softened). Dip your metal ice cream scoop in a cup of hot water, and scoop. Dip your scoop back into the cup of hot water before re-scooping.

Best scoop to use is metal, and has a lever that allows you to push the ice cream out ~ in my opinion.

Hope this helps ;)

Android Ice Cream Sandwich or Iphone ios5?

ice cream iphone 5 case
on Ice cream iPhone case. | Little things.
ice cream iphone 5 case image

Josh

okay so im looking into switching my phone company but im not sure whether i want to go to AT&T for the iphone5 coming soon, or to a different company with a good Android phone for the new ice cream sandwich update.
my question is, if i get an android now, which has the gingerbread version, will i be able to update it to get the ice cream sandwich version? or will i have to buy a completely different phone that already has it?
and if thats the case, should i just wait until ice cream sandwich comes out?
also, what do you think is the better choice, androids or iphones?

Answer
yes any phone can update
http://www.mydaily-gadget.com/news/7443-android-4-0-ice-cream-sandwich-release-date-features-made-public

as for the phone I recommend the galaxy s2, witch is the best phone out right now, or the s2plus, which will be released later this year.

also I prefer android over apple for the reason that its open-source, that means that the majority of the apps are free, and you get more revolutionary and cutting edge apps. And do things are even only barely available on a jail broken iphone
The android market already has 250000 apps- closing in on apple 500000; some say it will surpass it before the year is over. Also any popular iphone game or game adaptation can be found in the android market for free.
Another great thing about android as that if you dont like something (keyboard, homescreen, etc.) it can easily be swapped without jail-breaking, unlike the iphones one-size-fits-all approach.

Other features only on android
Turn-by-turn voice GPS
Better and larger screen
No need to connect to computer to sync
Here is a big one, add a sd card
Live wallpaper
Better calls
4g
More customizable
More powerful hardware
Flash support, watch ALL the online videos

Apple lovers that say that the iphone is made of better quality material? They don’t realize that Samsung, an android phone maker, supply’s the screen, processor and memory for apple devices, so android has the advantage here.
The iphone is pretty, but not durable, drop it once- it breaks, all that glass around it? That was honestly a mistake. Android manufactures clearly saw that, and decided to do with something a little more durable.

And the iphones “retina display” is a huge scam. By definition a ‘retina display’ is one where the human eye cannot distinguish individual pixels. But this is determined by several factors; most important being the distance between the screen and your eyes. The iphones retina distance is 12in, move any closer than that- say 7in and it’s no longer a “retina screen” because your eyes can now see the pixels, by that same token, if I move my android phone back, to say 16-17in, amazingly, it becomes a retina screen as well! (feel free to google this)

Also apple never invents anything, all they do is steal old technology, give it a fresh coat of paint and mass advertise it as “magical” and “innovating”, thus fooling the mass of the population into believing that apple offers cutting edge technology, that in fact has been around for quite a few years.
So instead of innovating, apple actually hinders technology- after 4 years they still have low-power single core phones, while android, an example of technology in overdrive, has rumored that, after their second year, the release of quad core phones that will surpass even some desktop computers in shear processing power.

Apple should now feel pretty worried; android has passed it in market share
http://www.businessinsider.com/android-iphone-market-share-2011-4

Then apple panics and sues
http://www.dailytech.com/Google+ExCEO+Apple+Doesnt+Innovate+They+Sue/article22190.htm
The funny thing is that apple can’t sue for being the first touchscreen or tablet, because they weren’t,(Nokia fist touch screen, “archos” first tablet) so instead they sue for much more relevant things like, “the rounded icon corners” and “having a flat screen” or “the square shape of the phone”……..

To top it all, if you’ve seen apples 2011 presentation, they blatantly copied over five "new" features that were previously on android.
http://androidandme.com/2011/06/news/five-features-in-ios-5-that-show-how-apple-is-now-playing-catch-up-to-google/

http://www.droid-life.com/2011/06/06/apple-introduces-ios5-with-notifications-ota-updates-and-tabbed-browsing-android-users-giggle-at-their-late-arrival/
1. Notification bar
2. Twitter integration
3. No need to connect to PC to sync
4. Launch apps from lock screen
5. Tabbed browsing

And not only are they copies, but apple didn’t even bother to improve, or change some of them in any way- some even have LESS features than their android counter parts, it’s basically a cheap imitation with the ever-popular iphone skin.
According to Steve jobs, these "revolutionary" new technologies that android users had since 2007 will be available on IOS5, and it would not surprise me to see some more android features from 2008 on IOS6.But the truly sad part is that due to apples marketing, in a few months, apple lovers will really think that apple invented those features and call android the copycats…yet again.

Though I suppose Google should’ve seen it coming….
