How do you make pumpkin ice cream with soft serve ice cream, like for an ice cream store?

Somehow there is a way to mix a bag of vanilla soft serve ice cream with some kind of pumpkin pie mix. I heard you could use the cans of pumpkin pie mix. Im not sure if thats what you use. and i need to know how much of each to use.

It probably won't set back up well. I'd do a flavoring such as the pumpkin flavor made by LorAnn
