My mom got herself a kitchenaid stand mixer a few months back. Recently, she bought the ice cream attachment and now she wants to make ice cream.

The Problem is that we have no clue how to attach the damn thing to the kitchenaid. We read both pamphlets that came with both the mixer and the attachment, and it doesn't specifically say what to do to attach it. It is missing a step or two or something.

Simply, how do we attach the damn thing?

Answer
As opposed to what the previous posters said the ice cream maker DOES NOT attach to the front of the mixer the way the pasta rollers do.The way it looks on the Kitchenaid website you just attach it the way you would the normal mixing bowl. The website says it'll fit all stand mixers made after 1990.On the website there's a Youtube link to a video of an Australian woman using the ice cream maker. It shows exactly how to attach all of the pieces .
