I have to write a report about why the Ice Age made woolly mammoths extinct, and I have no idea how.

Answer
The Ice Age didn't make them extinct, they were adapted to living in those conditions - woolly fur to keep them warm, fat reserves, small ears and tails to minimise heat loss, etc. It was the END of the Ice Age that caused their extinction. The frozen steppes they were adapted to living on began to disppear, being replaced by forest. They could not adapt to the new, warmer conditions, and thus became extinct.
