Since I don't have the ice cream attachment, I was wondering if I putted the bowl of the mixer in the freezer for a day and then make my ice cream, would it turn out? Has anyone done that before? If not, do you think it'll work?

You can try using food processor. I'm not sure kitchen mixer would do the job perfectly.
