Answer
Wait... he put salt in the liquid ice cream, that has the milk, vanilla, eggs, etc?! ROFLOL Yes, you may as well give up. It won't be edible and probalby will not freeze at any temperature you can achieve at home.

Vanilla Ice Cream, No-Cook

•2 eggs
•1¼ cups white sugar
•¼ teaspoon salt
•3 cups milk
•1½ cups evaporated milk
•1 Tbsp. vanilla extract
•½ cup water

Beat eggs until foamy. Whisk in sugar until thickened. Gradually whisk in salt, 6 cups milk, evaporated milk, vanilla and water. Pour into freezer canister of ice cream maker. Fill to fill line with remaining milk if necessary. Freeze according to manufacturers' directions. Yield: ½ gallon (Divide recipe in half for use in Donvier Ice Cream Maker.)

Lemon Pineapple Sherbet

This wonderful recipe came from Kentucky around the turn of the last century.

2 quarts whole milk
1 (14-ounce) can sweetened condensed milk
1 (20-ounce) can crushed pineapple with juice
2 cups sugar
1 cup fresh lemon juice (about 6 lemons)

In a large bowl, combine all ingredients, stirring until well blended. When you add the lemon juice, the sherbet will appear to curdle, but that is not a problem. Pour into an electric ice cream maker. Process according to manufacturer's instructions. Transfer sherbet to a freezer-safe container and freeze for at least 1 hour to firm up before serving.

Peach Ice Cream

1 quart very soft peaches
2 cups sugar
1 tsp. pure vanilla
1 tsp. almond extract,
2 quarts cold, rich cream

Place peaches and next 3 ingredients in a large bowl. Cover with a tee towel, and set aside for an hour or so. Be sure to keep some pieces in small chunks.

When ready to freeze add cream, mix thoroughly, and freeze in your freezer.
