After I ice a cake, the actual cake goes sticky, how can this be prevented?
Once I've iced the cake, the fondantstarts to go sticky. How can this be prevented?

Answer
Are you putting the fondant on top of an iced/frosted cake? The fondant will absorb moisture from the buttercream frosting underneath it, and it will soften and take on a gummy texture after it has been sitting on the cake for a few days. Apply the fondant as close to the serving date as possible (day of or day before) because as it sits, it will soften and become a little droopy.
