Answer
I dont know how much you plan on spending, but here goes anyways. Why dont you just get her a gift bag of assorted little things that she likes. I personally am a person who gives presents somewhat in an overkill fashion and this is what I do.
You say she likes chocolate, well then get her like 2 big bags of something chocolate that she likes.
You said that she writes, and reads. Finding something she reads would be hard unless you know what she likes, and if she likes reading then books are pretty good and expensive sometimes but if you know the book, get it and put it in there, but if it is too much, just get her a diary, if she is into doing diary type stuff.
Finding some veggies, plants, and fruits seeds and all that stuff is usually pretty cheap, you could get a couple of those little bags at lowes or where ever they sell these things and that could be added to the bag.
Do the icecream too, but that would have to be done just right because obviously you cant just put that in the bag now and then wait until it is her birthday. LOL, that would be a heck of a birthday present.
Old Fashioned Clothes, if you get lucky, can sometimes, but for me most of the time, be found at yard sales. You can get one or 2 and that can also get put in this bag. Or since you said that she is artsy then maybe just get some plain cloths for cheap somewhere, and get some kind of cloths decorative items. They are usually cheap. If you can find her style of artsy type decorative fashion that would be good. She could decorate and create her own cloths and make it the way she wants.
She has a cat, you could get it a knew collar, or if you really wanted to go all out, get some frontline or something like that. It has to be a top shelf item when it comes to flea and tick treatments and also must know that the cat will need a new treatment soon. Those have to be done every 3 months or so, and are expensive, that is always a good thing to get for pets if someone else buys it for you. I have dogs and when someone gave us some frontline because they had extra they werent using, it was awesome.
For Biking you could get her a watch, and this cost money, that keeps up with how many miles she travels, where she is going, has a built in gps and all that stuff like that. But they do have cheaper ones that dont have the gps, and are good outdoor, mile monitoring watches. You could also get her, if she doesnt already have one, some type of mp3 player or ipod. They are expensive brand new, but if you get one off of craigslist.org or bookoo.com. They can be pretty cheap, like a 200 to 300 dollars cheaper. If she already has that then get a case, artistic looking one obviously, since she has that artistic loving side of herself. Head phones, ear buds, or any accessory that expands off of ipod, mp3 player type related thing. (Oh and I do mean the ipod touch for the craigslist and bookoo thing. I once got a 4th generation ipod touch for 75 dollar brand new, never been opened. you just have to be patient and look hard and carefully. Oh and also make bids, try to ask would they take a certain price. The $75 one was put on for $150 and I asked would they take 75. They took it, got lucky, and sometimes you will. Some people need money now and will take whatever they can get.)
For the coffee you could get some gift certificates or a gift card for like starbucks or some place that sells great coffee or a place that she goes to get coffee. Or just get some from the store, if that is what she gets, but I would advice to go above and beyond her usual expectation of coffee if it is possible. If she already drinks coffee that is considered to be top quality than stick with it. Oh and maybe you could get one of those big coffee sipping cups in the color red, her favorite color, with her name on it.
That is really all that I would do. I dont think that it really matters what you do, just for the mere fact that you are asking the question here online will help broaden your mind to other ideas, and the more you expand your mind to different ideas the better it will be for you to come up with this perfect creative gift, because after all you know her better than you can describe to us online, so the things that I dont know about her, you will be able to fill in the gaps with the ideas that I send your way along with everyone else who may respond.
I hope my information helps. I know that your "Big Sister" will have a great birthday, because you are part of her family.
May Love Bless You and Have A Great Day!!!!
