Is it ok to leave coffee grounds in the coffee maker overnight?

I am wondering if it would be ok to put coffee grounds ( make coffee) in the coffee maker and water all night. Then push the button and to start making coffee. Would it be ok and safe to do. I am trying to safe sometime in morning since I got to get two kids to school. What I am saying. I was going to put water in the coffee make set there all night. And the coffee grounds in the coffee maker (where the coffee grounds go) all night. When I get up I am going to push the on button to start making it. Is it safe to do that I wouldn't get sick. Thanks

sure they have coffee makers now that start automatically, you should get one, mine cost only 20.00
