Can i use a rival at home 4 quart ice cream maker to make a slushie?

i dont want to buy an extra machine for it. this deaign has a tub with rock salt and ice around a metal tin. a motor runs a paddle inside the tin. would this work?

Mine is by Rival and I got it at Walmart. Someone threw away the instructions and I don't know what to do. I let the mixture cool in the fridge and i put it into the thing and it's been turning w/ ice around it for 40 min.s now. that's how i remembr the instructions said it but what now? it's still liquidy.

In the bucket you will put a layer of ice, rock salt and keep repeating the Rival Maker will shut off all by itself when the cream is ready.

This maker does not use ice. Very little maker. Just enough for two people.

Is buying a Frozen Yogurt Machine worth it?

Me and my friends are addicted to frozen yogurt from places like counter culture and menchies so we were going to buy our own frozen yogurt machine so we could have some any time we wanted. But I want to know if it is worth it, like does it taste as good as the yogurt at those places? and is it difficult to use? and which brand is the best?

Good timing! I just bought an ice cream maker by Rival for $15. I'm using it for left over fruit to make sherbets and sorbets. The instruction manual included recipes for frozen yogurt (I'm gonna try that next). My first batch of sorbet turned out fantastic and it was soooo easy!!
