Q.

Answer
1) Only eat fried food like french fries or onion rings once a week! Ask for a healthier side order like a salad or a baked potato instead of the french fries or onion rings most of the time you are at a fast food restaurant.

2) Eat healthy great tasting candy bars like Lara Bars instead of Snickers or jelly beans or whatever artificial candy you snack on.

This is the website for Lara Bars. Click on any of the candy bars on the left side to learn about all the flavors they have. They are healthy and delicious!

https://www.larabar.com/secure/index_.php

3) Eat hamburgers only once or twice a week!

4) Eat less red meat and more fish and poultry! Buy wild salmon and hormone-free chicken at any all-natural grocery store in your neighborhood.

5) Buy hormone-free cold cuts and all-natural whole grain bread and all the stuff to put on your sandwich at an all-natural grocery store in your neighborhood because organic all-natural food is healthier for you.

6) Stay away from soda! You are gaining weight from not only an unhealthy food diet but, if you are ordering a drink at a fast food restaurant, you are packing on pounds from the high-fructose corn syrup in the soda you drink!

7) Drink more water or buy a juice machine and make your own fruit juice! Sometimes when you think you are hungry, you are really thirsty! I own a juice machine and it allows me to make my own juice with organic fresh or de-frosted frozen organic fruit (Cascadian Farms is the best organic frozen fruit distributor) because I don't have to worry about added chemicals and artificial sweeteners like high-fructose corn syrup. A juice machine pays for itself if you use it all the time because organic juice is expensive to buy!

This is the website to buy a Jack Lalanne juicer which is what I own and it is the best for just under $100 at Target for one that is made with steel and plastic on Jack Lalanne's website for $150 for a stainless steel one that will last a lifetime.

8) Buy an icecream maker like Cuisinart's Soft-Serve Icecream Maker or Cuinart's Frozen Yogurt /Ice Cream/Sorbet Maker and make your own icecream! You can use rice milk or almond milk instead of cow's milk or goat's milk if you are lactose-intolerant and mix it with your favorite fruit or all-natural vanilla extract to make your own icecream! No worries about added sugar or artificial sweeteners in store-bought icecream that will make you gain weight and it will be cheaper in the long run because buying icecream is so expensive!

This soft-serve ice cream maker is $99.95 because it is made out of steel.

This frozen yogurt/ice cream/sorbet maker is $49.95 because it is made of out both plastic and steel.

I'm making French Vanilla ice cream in a cuisinart ice cream/sorbet maker.
Ironically I got my ingredients at Walmart. It tastes better fresh! I just can't remember if it's 30 mins or an hour...I guess time will tell!

Answer
im sure that you have already figured it out, since you asked this question 45 mins ago, but according to the cuisinart manual for vanilla ice cream it should take 25-30 mins!

enjoy your ice cream! =)

How do you keep Ice cream soft after removing from the churn and putting it in the Freezer for later consumption. Mine always gets harder than a rock. I want to be able to dip it like I would like a store bought king. Take Ben and Jerry's for instance. Can someone help Me.

Answer
Unless you want to lower the temp of your entire freezer, just keeping your ice cream on a top shelf will help keep it at a slightly lower temp than it would have been on a bottom shelf.

In addition to the other suggestions for softening it just before scooping, you can also run your scoop under a stream of hot water (or in a cup of water previously heated in microwave, etc) before each scoop and that will allow it to cut through the frozen ice cream much more quickly and easily. That works best with a metal scoop, but will also work for plastic.

I also read these things:
Tip: To keep your ice cream from becoming super-hard in the freezer, make sure both the ice cream maker and the mixture are kept ice cold as you're making the ice cream.
......If your Ice cream is comming out too hard from the freezer it means that it was not cold enough when it went into the ice cream turn. just let it thaw untill you can mix it with a spoon( hopfully with some ice crystals left) and put it back into the oce cream turn. your ice cream needs to be as cold as you can posibly get. I like to put my ice cream mixture on a bowl with ice cubes and water to cool it down and then put it in my fridge on the coldest setting for an hour to chill the reast of the way.
...I make several ice cream recipes that use 1 envelope plain, unflavored gelatin softened in 1/2 cup water. This is added to 1 cup of hot milk and stirred until dissolved. This amount of gelatin is used for recipes that make 2 quarts of ice cream. The consistency of the frozen ice cream is very similar to the nation wide chain of soft serve frozen confection known for its "curl on top" (for those of us old enough to remember the commercials) and becomes firm, but not rock hard when the leftovers are frozen in a conventional freezer. I have added gelatin to other recipes that did not call for it as an ingredient and liked the results.

If you actually want "soft serve" ice cream instead of regular "hard" ice cream, check out this machine and recipes:
