hi!
first, i love amazon.com reviews--they give so much info: http://www.amazon.com/Lello-4090-Gelato-Quart-Cream/product-reviews/B0007QCQNG/ref=dp_top_cm_cr_acr_txt?ie=UTF8&showViewpoints=1
second, it is expensive at $380--but, not having canisters in the freezer is wonderful. i want one!
third, so many things it does--chill wine or soda, make gelato, quiet, large capacity, one review suggests: "drizzling melted dark chocolate into a stirring vanilla ice cream or gelato batch during the last several minutes of freezing gives something far superior to conventional chocolate chip ice cream. The chocolate doesn't blend in, it freezes into strands and other random shapes and sizes that make for a very pleasing feel. Italians call this strachiatella." another: "Cake Batter Ice Cream" like Cold Stone creamery, and "Margarita with a nice slush ice! ", etc.!
fourth, there seems to be a problem with customer service--are you a manufacturer's rep?
fifth, i am going to buy the "Lello 4070 Gelato Junior" at $213--it is a 1 qt rather than a 2 qt
last, do you have any ice cream or gelato cookbooks that you like?
