How much guar gum do I put in a quart of ice cream?

I have been making ice cream except there is a problem. The texture is not very good. I know that ice cream companies put guar gum in their ice creams to make it thicker. How much should I put in mine? My ice cream machine makes around a quart of ice cream.

Where can I find paper/cardboard Ice Cream containers (quart or pint) for purchased online? Basically looking for the plain white (or whatever) containers the Edy's or Ben and Jerry's comes in. I'm making my own ice cream and would like to package it for others. I've tried all my local restaurant supply places and GFS can't order them, they looked at me like I had 3 eyes. Any idea where I can purchase these online in decent quantities?
I have googled it and searched in Yahoo... I haven't found one place to actually PURCHASE the empty containers.
