How does one ship frozen goods?

ice cream express image
wondering
I'm from TX and living in NY at the moment. I really miss Blue Bell ice cream, which isn't sold here. I've been to their website, and they do ship orders but only in large quantities. I'd only want 3 or 4 gallons worth. I'd like to ask a friend or family member to send them to me, but would like to know if it's feasible... :)
Answer
You can fed ex or express mail in a carton well-lined/insulated and packed with dry-ice around food containers. Contact a local ice distributor, and they will help out with specific packing instructions (and the dry ice)
