I just picked up another ice cream machine and want to use it but I don't want to have to cook anything. My old machine never called for cooking. I have lost my old recipe book. The new book calls for everything to be cooked. Please assist me in finding these because I am making ice cream at a family gathering this weekend. My machine is a 4 quart. Thankyou in advance for any solutions.

Answer
Here's my recipe from my book. Just put it in your ice cream maker instead of using a Dutch oven. Good Luck!

Dutch Oven Style Spumoni Ice Cream
David Herzog

1 package pistachio instant pudding (3.4 oz.)
1 package chocolate instant pudding (3.4 oz.)
1 package vanilla instant pudding (3.4 oz.)
For each package of pudding:
2 c. milk
½ c. sugar
1 egg
¼ tsp. lemon juice
1 can evaporated milk (12 oz.)
1 c. heavy whipping cream
For pistachio flavor:
¾ c. pistachio nuts, shelled and chopped
For strawberry flavor
¼ cup strawberry flavored Nestlie’s Quick or similar
1/8 tsp red food coloring
¼ c. dehydrated cherries

3 10” Dutch ovens, chilled in ice and rock salt, one for each flavor
Pack the Dutch ovens in ice layered with rock salt within ¼ inch from the top of the oven.
For each flavor, mix pudding and milk. In a separate bowl, mix sugar and egg, add to pudding mixture.
Pour mixture into a dry Dutch oven, add whipping cream and evaporated milk; stir. Cover with lid.
Lift the lid and stir every 15 minutes. Add ice and rock salt as needed, and drain water every 30 minutes. Total freezing time, about 90 minutes, or longer if it’s hot out. May be eaten soft but more time is needed for a harder product. When frozen, combine all 3 flavors and lightly swirl together just before serving. Or, layer in another Dutch oven like a cake. Serves24 to 30

Answer
Sydney's Sinful Sundae

1 cup shredded coconut
4 large scoops vanilla ice cream
1/2 cup Hershey chocolate syrup
whipped cream (in a can)
4 large, ripe strawberries

1. Preheat the oven to 300 degrees.
2. spread the coconut over the bottom of the inside of a large oven pan.
Shake the pan a little to spread the coconut evenly.
3. Bake the coconut for 25-30 minutes or until the coconut is a light,
golden brown. You may have to stir or shake the coconut in the
last 10 minutes to help it brown evenly.
4. When the coconut has cooled, pour it onto a plate, or into a
large bowl. Roll each scoop of ice cream in the coconut until it is
well coated. Press down on the ice cream to help the coconut stick.
Put the ice cream into four separate bowls.
5. Heat up the chocolate syrup for 10-15 seconds in the microwave.
Pour about two tablespoons over each scoop of ice cream.
Try to completely cover the ice cream with chocolate.
6. Spray some whipped cream on the top of each scoop of ice cream.
7. Cut the stems from the strawberries and place one on each serving;
upside down on the whipped cream. Serve with a spoon.

Mango Sorbet Recipe

Servings
Vegetarian
Prep Time: 20 mins
Cook Time: 1 h 35 mins
Rest Time: 14 h 20 mins
Total Time: 16 h 15 mins
Ingredients
•3 medium mango(es), ripe
•1/2 cup(s) sugar
•1/2 cup(s) water
•1/3 cup(s) banana(s), coarsely mashed
•2 tablespoon lime juice
Preparation
1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Place whole mangoes in a shallow baking pan and roast until very soft, 70 to 90 minutes. Refrigerate until cool, about 1 hour.

2. Meanwhile, combine sugar and water in a small saucepan. Bring to a boil, stirring to dissolve sugar. Remove from heat and refrigerate until cold, about 1 hour.

3. When the mangoes are cool enough to handle, remove skin and coarsely chop pulp, discarding pit. Place the mango pulp and accumulated juices in a food processor. Add banana and lime juice; process until very smooth. Transfer to a large bowl and stir in the sugar syrup.

4. Cover and refrigerate until cold, 40 minutes or overnight.

5. Freeze the mixture in an ice cream maker according to manufacturer's directions. (Alternatively, freeze the mixture in a shallow metal pan until solid, about 6 hours. Break into chunks and process in a food processor until smooth.) Serve immediately or transfer to a storage container and let harden in the freezer for 1 to 1 1/2 hours. Serve in chilled dishes

Pizookies
Ingredients:
•cookie dough- any flavor, store bought or homemade
•ice cream- any flavor
•caramel topping
•chocolate topping
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Fill ramekins half way full with cookie dough. Place ramekins on a baking sheet and cook until the tops turn golden brown, about 15-20 minutes (time could be more or less depending on your oven so just keep an eye on it). Remove from oven and place ramekins on a cooling rack to cool for 5-10 minutes. Top with ice cream and any other toppings and serve.

I am looking for an easy Banana Split Ice Cream recipe using my electric ice cream maker.

Answer
Here is a very basic homemade ice cream recipe that you can use with any ice cream maker. This recipe doesn't require cooking and doesn't include raw eggs, so it is safe and very fast to whip up. Who wants to wait for ice cream any longer than they have to?

2 c. cold heavy cream
1 c. cold whole milk
3/4 c. sugar

Stir ingredients together until the sugar has dissolved, then freeze in your ice cream maker according to the instructions.

Note: You can add 2 tsp. of any extract you like, such as vanilla, almond, mint, etc. However, I'm about to show you how to make this basic recipe into something truly amazing by using other ingredients.

Want the flavor of a banana split without having to make one for everyone in your house? Here's a quick and easy recipe to use. (Banana split)

Add to the basic recipe:
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1 c. mashed ripe bananas (the riper the bananas, the better the flavor)
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
3/4 c. milk

1 can. fruit cocktail, drained
1/2 c. chopped peanuts
1/2 c. chocolate sauce, half frozen in freezer (should be paste-like)

Blend the milk and bananas together with the nutmeg and vanilla. Chill for at least an hour before adding to the main recipe and freezing according to the directions. 5 min. before the end, add the can of fruit cocktail.

Once the ice cream is finished, stir in nuts and chocolate sauce by hand before serving.
