How lucrative is the ice cream vending business? Looking at buying a bike to vend it?

I am thinking about purchasing an ice cream vending bike an plan to operate it after work during the week and on weekends. The city population is about 35-40,000. What kind of operating costs can I expect and is there "decent" money to be made. Thank you for any help

My co-worker's dad has has an ice cream truck business for 10 years. He has supported himself his wife and two kids with this business. Put them through school, bought them cars, etc.

According to my co-worker his dad brings in close to 100k a year. I don't know if that's true but it looks like it's profitable enough to support a small family and a mortgage.

He also wanted to tell you that his Dad has had a few attempted robberies but because he is in a truck he was able to fight off the robbers. But on a bike you're exposed so be careful on those bad neigborhoods.

Convincing the school probably won't be hard, but where do I find soy ice cream for vending machines?
I'm not trying to rid the school of regular ice cream, and I know where to buy soy ice cream. I'm looking for where to buy portioned sizes in bulk. Sam's Club is the only place I'm thinking to look. Hmm. Just looking for other ideas.

look up vegan ice cream brands in google, (like Tofutti) and e-mail them or find a number to call and ask them how to go about doing that.

Cheat a prepackaged ice cream vending machine?

I have this ice cream vending machine in my college dorm's basement common area. Do you suppose, if one night, I went down there when nobody was there to cheat the machine. I can do it by pulling the plug on the machine for about 2-3 hours. after that, plug it back in and let it refreeze. Then when I pay for it, and the sucker gets the product out, two or more can stick together.
