What is the black stuff on the inside of my ice cream maker?

I made ice cream in an electric ice cream maker and when I scraped some up the side, I saw some black stuff coming off the side and onto the spoon. I assumed it was aluminum rust or something because we had really washed it out before we started. I'm wondering if it is still safe to eat?

I think it is a reaction between the bucket and the mix. Not sure if it is okay to eat but I do not think it is mold because you stated that you washed it out really well.
